Business Assurance held a seminar on current approaches to the activities of audit organizations

Business Assurance together with the Association of Belarusian Banks and the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Belarus, with the participation of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, held a joint seminar “Current Approaches to the Activities of Audit Organizations in the Republic of Belarus” for representatives of banks, non-bank credit and financial organizations, insurance, leasing companies and stock exchanges at the Training Center of the National Bank.
The seminar was devoted to topical issues that arise for banks and other financial institutions when working with audit organizations, namely:
— new standards on quality management for audit services provided (ISQM 1 and ISQM 2);
— revised International Standards on Auditing (ISA): ISA 315 “Identification and assessment of risks of material misstatement through the study of the organization and its environment” and ISA 220 “Quality control for an audit of financial statements”;
— general approaches to information security (IS), information security policy, as well as new approaches to information security when working with audit organizations.
The seminar was opened by Mr. Alexey K. Shcherba, Deputy Head of the Main Banking Supervision Department of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Alexander N. Shkodin, Managing Partner of Business Assurance (formerly BDO LLC), Mr. Dmitry I. Sych, Chairman of the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Belarus. The speakers on the above topics were Business Assurance partners.
